"I started creating art when I was a little girl. I've always been drawing and painting and I knew very early on that I wanted to work with something creative. I have always used my hands to express myself, whether that would be through clay, painting or simply gesturing whilst telling a story. However, it wasn't until my twenties that I grew into what I'm doing today"
Getting her inspiration from her everyday life, cultures, surroundings and emotions. Her overall style is very inspired by her Scandinavian roots with an English twist. She has seen how her style and creative mind has changed and been influenced by the different people, personalities and emotions she has experienced since living in England.
Creating art makes Laura feel happy and able to release the emotions going on inside her mind. When asked to describe her artwork Laura replies: "I think I would say minimalistic, imperfect and fun".
"Art can be a single feeling in a single moment, or it can be a mix of tangled up emotions that can only be explained by being expressed through words, music, sculptures or, on a canvas. It is explaining your mind and feelings visually. I love the way art can evoke different emotions and feelings, depending on who is experiencing it."
